Shiva on my Mind, is a twist on the classic Ray Charles tune, “Georgia on my Mind,” written by Hoagie Carmichael. It had been an experimental tune, not often played live both due to its complexity but also the fact that although it honors, Maha Deva Shambo, “Shiva” it’s not really a Kirtan song. Nevertheless the twist was fun and potent and hopefully is received well, both by spiritual seekers and music enthusiasts. It is a great honor and privilege to have my friend and teacher, Scarab Dev singing with me on this track. Om Nama Shivaya
