The Goddess, Devi. Jai Ma! The force of creation itself! This song started as a sort of campfire, bluesy, cowboy riff, something for Madre Jaguar to sing on. I then started to chant to the Goddess, so I gave her this mantra and asked her if she wanted to write a verse, so she did! Unfortunately she did not sing it, so I decided I would give it a try... I then thought, my dearest brother, Jaya Raise! He would be the perfect artist to help me honor Durga and Kali. He was the one back in 2007 that really opened me up to the Vedic teachings... My friend, teacher and talented singer/songwriter/rapper/producer! We first got to perform this live, in his new home town of Ashland, Oregon. Another dear old friend, who now calls Ashland home, had us for a kirtan celebration @ her (Emerge) hot yoga studio! Beautiful synchronicities across time and space woven with the love of our family, now to you! Sing along and join us!
